The National School of Drama, Bangalore, has announced the commencement of applications for fellowship for one year intensive course in Acting, for the academic year 2014-15.
Details of NSD Scholarships:
• The National School of Drama is one of the foremost theatre training institutions in the world and the only one of its kind in India. The syllabus takes into account the methods of great theatre personalities who have shaped contemporary theatre in all its variety. Therefore, all the aspiring students who wish to build their career in the field of drama dreams to be a part of this institute. To aid the ones who deserve to be here National School of Drama grants some fellowship every year.
• All lucky and successful students shall be awarded a scholarship amount of Rs.4500/- per month.
Eligibility Criteria:
• The age of candidate should be of minimum 20 yrs and maximum 30 yrs as on 1st August 2014.
• The candidates should hold a graduation or equivalent degree in any field from a recognized university. If the candidate is extraordinary talented and is from the folk, tribal and traditional performing art families than some relaxation can be given on education qualifications
• The applicant should have sufficient knowledge of theatre and must have participated in at least 4 productions.
• For Reserved category candidates, Reservation and age relaxation shall be as per rules.
Application Procedure:
• The procedure for the application is very simple and easy Candidates can obtain application form from the official website of NSD i.e. http://nsd.gov.in/
• Applications should be accompanied with a demand draft of Rs. 100/- in favor of NSD, Bengalore, Chapter.
