Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child 2014 Application Form for PG Programs
University Grant Commission or UGC has announced the provision of the Indira Gandhi Scholarship Scheme 2014-16 whose details are mentioned below. Indian Citizens’ families with a single girl child are encouraged to apply to provide their child with higher education including Master’s. The application form is available online. Academic Qualifications –
• The applicant should have taken admission to a Master’s program and in the 1st year
• The applicant should be the only girl child to her parents
Scholarship Awarded –
• The applicants would avail Rs. 2000 a month for two years although the value of the amount would equal 20 months in two years

Process of Selection:
• The applicant would be shortlisted based on the decision taken by the Expert Committee Panel after reviewing the applicant’s application form
Application Procedure:
• Applicants who consider themselves eligible based on the criteria may apply in the suggested format
• Go to www.ugc.ac.in, the University Grant Commission website
• Once the application is filled, submit the same
• The hard copy of the application form cannot be submitted at any place
• The final say is that of the Expert Panel
