The Joint Admission Board that conducts the Joint Entrance Examination, a National level exam qualifies students to pursue an Undergraduate Engineering career in Indian Institutes of Technology IITs (There are sixteen IITs at present, located at Bhubaneswar, Chennai,
Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Kanpur,
Kharagpur, Mandi, Mumbai, Patna, Ropar, Roorkee and Varanasi.) and Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad. The Common Entrance Examination enables the qualified to apply for the above mentioned undergraduate course. The JEE Advanced 2014 notification can be taken by those who qualify in the JEE Main 2014 examination. Who can Apply?• Only those candidates who qualify for the JEE Main 2014 Exam can take the JEE Advanced 2014 Examination
• Applicants who were born prior to or on 1st October 1989 – General Category
• Applicants who were born prior to or on 1st October 1984 – SC/ST/PWD Category
Process of Selection:• Applicants are selected on the basis of the All India Merit Ranks given based on the JEE Advanced 2014 scores
• Students are allowed to take the exam in two consecutive attempts
About the Exam:• The first 1,50,000 candidates who qualify in the JEE Main 2014 Exam are selected to write the JEE Advanced Examination
• Please refer to the notification to get more information about the examination
• The JEE Advanced 2014 Exam is an Offline exam and has two papers –
Paper 1 – 3 hours
Paper 2 – 3 hours
Fees for the Application Form:
• Fees for GE and OBC (NCL) male applicants – Rs.2000
• Fees for SC/ST/PD male applicants – Rs.1000
• No Fees for female applicants
• Applicants who take the exam from Dubai pay – US$220
Application Procedure:
• Go to the official website - jeeadv.iitd.ac.in to download the application form
• The Challan can be printed once the online JEE Advanced 2014 Application form is filled and submitted
• The applicant should make the payment at any branch of SBI before the 9th of May 2014
Note:
First Day for Online Registration: 04-05-2014 (10 am onwards)
End date for Online Registration: 09-05-2014 (5 pm)
End date to receive Application Fee by echallan: 12-05-2014
Test Date: 25-05-2014 (Paper I – 9 to 12 am and Paper II – 2 to 5 pm)
Registration for Counseling Sessions: 20th to 24th June 2014
