1952 witnessed the bifurcations of Universities of Bihar from the Patna University and from this incident emerged Bihar University, later known as Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University in the year 1992 at Muzaffarpur. The University has around 37 constituent colleges to its affiliation. Dr. Ravi Verma is the current Vice Chancellor of BRABU.
