VITEEE 2015 Application Form, Eligibility, Exam Dates
VITEEE which stands for VIT Engineering Entrance Examination is a national level entrance examination for taking admission to all the undergraduate engineering courses at VIT University. The VITEEE is conducted every year by VIT University. Students who qualify the examination are taken forward for admission through a counseling process.
University Profile:
VIT is one of the top ten engineering colleges in India spread over two campuses at Vellore and Chennai, Tamil Nadu. VIT was formerly established as Vellore Engineering College in the year of 1984. It offers 18 undergraduate courses and 34 postgraduate courses. The institute has an equal fame in the foreign countries. Every year the University welcomes students from 47 countries and from all the states of India. The university is coming up with another campus at Bangalore, Karnataka which will be functioning from the academic year 2015.
Eligibility:
• Any student who has completed 10+2, Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination from a recognized board, or International Baccalaureate Diploma, or High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University, or Advanced(A) level General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination is eligible to write VITEEE 2015
• A student applying for VITEEE 2015 must also obtain a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology
• SC/ST students and students from Northeast and Jammu & Kashmir have a concession of 10%. The aggregate for them is 50%.
• The student must be born on or after 1st July, 1993 to be eligible.
Exam Pattern:
• The question paper consists of 160 questions divided into four sections with 40 questions in each section. Each question carries one mark. The time allotted to finish the examination is 2.5 hours.
• There is no negative marking for wrong answers.

Application Process and Fee:
Online: Students have the facility to apply online. After submitting the application online, students need to take a printout of the confirmation page and send it to the University. The application fee is Rs. 925.
Offline: Students can apply through offline mode too. Applications are available at selected post offices. Students can also write to the university requesting for application form. Application forms are also sold at University counter. The application fee is Rs. 975.
• The examination fees can paid online through credit card, debit card, internet banking or through offline modes to via Demand Draft drawn in favour of "VIT University" payable at Vellore.

Important Dates:
• Sale of application forms would start tentatively from the first week of December, 2014.
• Last date to send the filled-in application would be in March, 2015.
• Online slot booking would start in the month of March 2015.
• Examination is conducted in April 2015.
• Results of VITEEE 2015 are expected in the month of May 2015.
