Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, Triupati or SVIMS came into existence in the year 1986 on the lines of AIIMS, New Delhi. Dr. B. Vengamma is the current Vice Chancellor of SVIMS. Among the many departments SVIMS offers its services Anaesthesiology, Anatomy, Biochemistry, C.T.Surgery, Cardiology, Endocrinology, General Surgery, Hematology, Oncology, Surgical Gastroenterology, Surgical Oncology, Transfusion Medicine are a few among many. SVIMS Triupati offers 4 years graduation program in Nursing program with an annual enrollment of 100 students. The second course offered by SVIMS as a College is Physiotherapy. The department started with 3 years of physiotherapy course. Later it was later upgraded with Bachelor in the year 1998, Master in 2003, and as a part of upgradation of staff, Ph.D. started in the year 2005. Dr. M.Hanumantha Rao is the current Head of Department. With expansive library and hands on experience to the students, SVIMS gives the maximum exposure possible in the current educational background.
Students who visit http://svimstpt.ap.nic.in/results.html will be able to view their B.Sc in Nursing, Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Anaesthesia Technology, ECG and Cardiovascular Technology, Medical Lab Technology, Neurophysiology Technology (EEG & ENMG), Radiography & Imagining Technology, Urology Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Dialysis Technology 1st, 2nd and 3rd year regular results.
