2010 witnessed the establishment of Kerala University of Health Sciences at Thrissur. There are almost 230 colleges affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS). Dr.K.Mohandas is the present Vice Chancellor of KUHS. 

Kerala University of Health Sciences offers graduate and post graduate courses in Modern Medicine, Homoeopathy and Indian Systems of Medicine including Ayurveda, Siddha, Yoga, Naturopathy and Unani. Expansive Library, experienced faculty and research department completes the package. The research helps students achieve maximum exposure in their respective fields.
