Job Description: Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (APERC) was constituted on 31.03.1999 under the A.P. Electricity Reform Act, 1998. Since its inception, the APERC has brought several initiatives to enhance the functionality of an Power Sector within the state of AP to making it viable and most importantly to protect the interests with the consumers. It has recently announced recruitment notification for filling up Director vacancies. Interested and Eligible candidates may apply through Offline. Number of Vacancies Available: 3
Post Applicable For: Director (Engineering), Director (Law) and Director (Tariff).
Pay Scale: Rs.37,400–Rs.67,000 with the GP Rs.10,000/- plus GP would be Rs.53,000/
Age Limit: Eligible candidates age should not exceed 62 years as on 01.08.2013. Age relaxation is applicable as per Govt rules and regulations.
Educational Qualification:
Director (Engineering): Applicants must possess Degree in Electrical / Power Engineering from a recognized University or Institution and 20 years of Engineering experience with at least 5 years at management level in large power utilities with generation, transmission and distribution facilities.
Director (Law): Applicants must possess Degree in Law from a recognized University or Law school and 15 years of professional experience or similar experience under Central/ State Government/ Judge of a District Court.
Director (Tariff): Applicants must possess Doctorate in Economics or Degree in Electrical/ Power Engineering recognized University or Institution and 15 years experience as a Professional Economist or a Professional Engineer, of which at least 5 years he shall have in managing professional staff.
Selection Procedure: Eligible candidates can be selected according to their performance in Personal Interview.
