Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, invites applications for students who are interested in taking admission in to its PhD, Fellowship Programmes under mentioned subjects Diabetology, Pediatric Critical & Emergency Care, Tropical Parasitology, Cardiac & Neuro- Anesthesiology, Critical Care(Anesthesiology) through entrance examination for the academic year 2014-15. Details of the JIPMER Scholarships 2014:
Scholarship Validity:
• The scholarship is valid for 3 years for non-Medical Post Graduates / MBBS Graduates, The same is available for 2 years for Medical Post-Graduates with MD/MS/DNB or M.Phil. Degree holders. It would be of 5 Years maximum at the discretion of the Research Committee.
Process of Selection:
• Selection would on the basis on an entrance exam containing 100 MCQ
• Every correct answer will provide you marks and wrong will procure negative.
• Minimum of 50% marks in the Entrance Examination will be required for the candidate to be eligible for admission as per merit ranking
Scholarship Details:
• Applicants who got selected for PhD in any of the disciplines mentioned, will be paid as per JIPMER rules and regulations, the amount paid will be as a monthly stipend of Rs 15,000/ for first year, Rs 16,000/ for second year, Rs 18,000/ for third year for their professional studies.
• Stipend of Rs 11,000/ will be paid for extended period of their studies for fourth-year and Rs 12000/- for fifth-year.

Online registration and entrance fees for PhD programs is Rs 1000/-, for fellowship / DM / M.Ch. Programmes would be Rs. 1500/-, for any of the two courses is Rs. 3000/
